Welcome to the World

"When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies." -Peter Pan

Snowflake Lane

This holiday season we headed to Bellevue to celebrate with my family. We shopped, ate dinner at Palomino, and watched the Snowflake Lane Holiday Show!

Home for Christmas

Welcome, Christmas, bring your cheer. Cheer to all Whos far and near. Christmas Day is in our grasp so long as we have hands to clasp. Christmas Day will always be just as long as we have we. Welcome Christmas while we stand, heart to heart and hand in hand.

Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.

We have the keys!

Greg and I made the move this Saturday with the help of family! We have been unpacking, cleaning, painting, and making many trips to Home Depot. However, we still found time to get a Christmas tree and hang the stockings! The tree is still waiting for ornaments...

Thanks everyone for all your help moving. We could not have done it without you. We also appreciate all the handy work. We now have a working washer/dryer, a running kitchen sink, and semi-dry basement carpets! :)

Here are a couple snapshots of the moving day...

Home Sweet Home

Peace - that was the other name for home.
~Kathleen Norris

Greg has been busy working on a destination art piece for our new house. We are so close to actually moving in. Cross your fingers. He got the idea from this link:

Using stencils he painted all of the places we have lived both a part and together.

Thankful for Celebrations

Begin and end each day with an expression of gratitude -Wayne Dyer

This past week has been full of turkey, birthdays, shopping, and football! We are full of thanks and gratitude (and turkey!) for the many blessings we have in our lives.
